The Work

There are too many opportunities to let slip by.

Engineering Experience

Currently working as a mechanical engineer at one of the oldest manufacturers in Vermont. Working in sheet metal design, design for manufacture, prototyping and testing, R&D, CAD design work, and complex problem-solving.

Undula Tech

At 22, I became the sole patent holder & inventor of the Undula Generator. I am the founder and CEO of Undula Tech.

Be A Spark

For the past 12 years, I have been creating metal and glass sculptures, some so large we need a boom truck to move them. To date, I have created over 80 pieces, the majority of which have been donated to charity events around my home state of Vermont, raising tens of thousands of dollars for good causes.

The Nature Nerd

Compelled by my love of science and public speaking, I created the YouTube channel, The Nature Nerd, where I create educational content about the natural world, biology, wildlife and biomimicry.

Beyond The Xtra Mile

I created my own way to learn in high school so that I could work in the gap most people think exists between art and science. I became one of the first to pioneer project-based learning in Vermont and it allowed me to leave high school with a provisional patent. To document my work, progress, and findings, I created BeyondTheXtraMile.com so that other students could follow my example and take their learning into their own hands.

Public Speaking

I have presented, and been the keynote speaker, at several international conferences. My public speaking has included events of 800-1,000 people in Boston MA, Davos Switzerland, Panama City Panama, and my alma mater Clarkson University.

The Art of Noticing

As part of my passion for science and education, I created the blog TheArtofNoticing.com. There I wrote about science, art, my observations and questions about the natural world, and more.

 What connections are we missing?

  • Brilliant “idea people” with practical experience are hard to find.

  • Inspiring communicators in engineering are rare.

Rigor - Critical Thinking - imagination

The best innovation comes from connecting ideas and people no one ever thought to combine.
